This photograph was taken early on a Sunday morning as I walked down to Turtle Pond to spend some time in the bird blind which I had set up near the pier the evening before. A large group of feral hogs were on the far side of the pond. The pond is low as you can see from the photograph; this is the terrible Texas drought of 2009.
