There is a small group of Gaillardia aestivalis on the right-of-way, near the front gate. I've taken several sets of photographs of these flowers. This photograph was part of a sequence using my 100 mm macro lens. It was a very hot afternoon, over 100 degrees, clear skies. But all that bright light allowed me to use a small aperture and a low ISO, making for pretty good depth of field and picture quality.
