I had been standing near Turtle Pond for almost an hour but hadn't seen many birds. Then I heard some rustling in the brush behind me and there were three Ruby-crowned Kinglets. One of them flew out to an upstanding twig; I saw a flash of the red crown, and managed to get just this one rather blurred photograph. Still, it is a happy day when you see the ruby crown!
